Do you still have an old motorcycle that you love to ride? If so, then you know all too well the frustration of not being able to find replacement parts for it. Bikes from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s are still running great but some accessories need replacement. The problem is; motorcycle manufacturers don’t make parts for older motorcycles, and it is impossible to find original replacements on the market anymore!

Most motorcycle parts are made of mold because if you are considering making tens of thousands of products, it is the best way. But we don’t have any mold for the replacements, and making mold will cost more than thousands of money, all we have is just worn parts – how can we get the exact same accessories? Well, reverse engineering and CNC machining can help.

First, we have to reverse engineer the part. We must use a digital scanning machine and laser measuring tools to take pictures of both sides of parts from different angles. With these pictures and our engineer’s fixing work of worn parts, it will be imported into CAD software which can make exact models or drawings for us. As long as we have drawings, we can make older models of motorcycle accessories by CNC machining method such as this engine cylinder head; 6061-T6 aluminum and polishing the surface until it’s smooth like glass.
